Course Summary
If you are interested in advancing your skills to work as a chef within the hospitality industry, this course will provide you with advanced skills and experience needed to work in the industry.
Course Details
It is a busy and practical course with real working experience in our own Novus Restaurant and kitchens. Working within the industry whilst studying this course would be an advantage.
Course content includes:
Advanced practical food preparation
Relevant theory aspects
Advanced food hygiene
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Progress on the course is measured through a number of written assignments and short answer tests.
Students will also have practical assessments and a final synoptic exam.This qualification will be graded Pass/Merit/Distinction.
Entry requirements
You will need:
- A merit in a full-time level 2 qualification in professional cookery at a further education provider (preferably CWA), with good attendance and progress reviews. You cannot enrol on this course in year 12.
