Course Summary
If you are interested in pursuing a career in motor vehicle service and repair, and car mechanics, this course is for you.
Course Details
The course will engage and motivate you, as you learn about the maintenance of motor vehicles and the various roles that are available in the retail motor industry. The course is practical and includes many visual questioning techniques which will stimulate and interest you. The learning outcomes are assessed by a variety of task-based assessments, observation, oral questioning and online assessments.
The Level 3 qualification covers details of modern vehicle technologies and industry operating systems in advanced diagnostic skills, in both mechanical and electronic fault finding. You will learn not only how we diagnose with scan tools, but more importantly, how we use a wide range of diagnostic methods. You will learn a wide range of skills, from talking to customers to using some of today's advanced tools to enable the correct diagnosis first time, every time.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The course is assessed through a combination of practical and theory assignments.
Entry requirements
You will need:
- A full level 2 qualification in motor vehicle with good attendance and reviews studied at CWA or another further education provider. This does not include level 2 courses studied at school alongside GCSEs.
