Course Details
Our course is designed to cover a great range of subjects and you will get many opportunities to practise.
Course content includes:
- The art of colouring hair
- The art of dressing hair
- Body and face painting
- Working in the make up industry
- Anatomy and physiology
- Research, develop and showcase designs
- Hair artistry
- Creative makeup artistry
- Health and safety
- The art of applying makeup
- Photographic makeup including Vintage
- Plaiting and twisting
- Create an image-based theme
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Subjects are studied and evaluated through a continuous assessment process. This involves regular in-testing, projects and assignments to monitor your understanding and progress throughout the year. We make sure you receive ongoing feedback and support so you can succeed!
Entry requirements
You will need:
- 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or higher, including English, maths and a relevant creative based subject.
Or:
- A level 1 qualification in Hairdressing or Beauty therapy at Merit or Distinction studied at CWA or another further education provider
- English and Maths GCSEs at grade 3 or higher
