Course Summary
Are you interested in teaching, childcare, child development, educational psychology, social work, speech and language therapy, or other careers working with children and young people?
The Pearson Level 3 V Level in Education & Early Years is a new qualification that will provide students with a strong understanding of education, child development and professional practice. It has been designed to combine academic knowledge with practical, career-related learning, helping students progress to university, higher-level qualifications and a range of education and childcare careers.

How will it be delivered and assessed?
- · Two-year programme.
- · Combination of classroom teaching, discussion, case studies, research activities and independent study.
- · Opportunities to explore real-world issues and professional practice in education and early years settings.
- · Assessment is expected to include a mixture of external examinations and internally assessed coursework/projects.
- · Final assessment arrangements will be confirmed by Pearson.
Entry requirements
(recommended)
- · Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English & Maths
- · Grade 4 or above in a humanities or social science subject is desirable.
- · An interest in working with children, young people or within educational settings.
- · Good attendance and a positive attitude to independent study
