Course Summary

Are you interested in computing, cyber security, data analysis, software development, artificial intelligence, digital business systems, or careers within the rapidly growing digital sector?

The Pearson Level 3 V Level in Digital Systems & Data is a new qualification that will provide students with a strong understanding of digital technologies, data management and emerging technological developments. It has been designed to combine academic knowledge with practical, career-related learning, helping students progress to university, higher-level qualifications and a wide range of digital careers.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

  • · Two-year programme.
  • · Combination of classroom teaching, practical workshops, case studies, investigations and independent study.
  • · Opportunities to work with industry-relevant technologies and explore real-world digital challenges.
  • · Assessment is expected to include a mixture of external examinations and internally assessed coursework/projects.
  • · Final assessment arrangements will be confirmed by Pearson.

Entry requirements

  • · Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English & Maths
  • · Grade 4 or above in ICT, Mathematics or a Science subject is desirable.
  • · An interest in technology, digital innovation and problem-solving.
  • · Good attendance and a positive attitude to independent study.
