Students should submit applications by 18 December 2026.
Applications will remain open throughout the year and late applications will be considered; however, students should be aware that they may not receive their preferred choices if a late application is received.
Once applications have been received, all applicants will be invited for an interview to discuss their application and ensure that their subject choices are suitable.

Course Summary
A-Level Chemistry aims to encourage learners to:
• Develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other.
• Develop and demonstrate a deep appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific methods.
• Develop competence and confidence in a variety of practical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Develop their interest in and enthusiasm for the subject, including developing an interest in further study and careers associated with the subject.
• Understand how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society.

Entry requirements
5 GCSE passes at grade 5 or above. You will need a grade 6 in Chemistry and a grade 6 in Mathematics.
