Do you want to gain a qualification in animal nursing? Our new course, held in high regard in veterinary practices, may be for you! Develop essential animal care and management skills such as delivering basic treatment, nutrition, animal nursing assistance, and much more.
Course Details
What will I study on this course?
- Deliver basic treatments to animals
- Maintain animal accommodation
- Provide feed and water to animals
- Principle of infection control for animal nursing
- Companion animal anatomy and physiology exam
- Principles of basic animal nursing assistance
- Control and restrain animals
- Companion pharmacology
- Companion animal nutrition
- Companion parasitology and zoonosis
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed through theory and practical sessions, theory assignments and practical assessment, and building a portfolio of evidence over the year.
There is also an Anatomy & Physiology exam.
Entry requirements
You will need:
- 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or higher, including English, maths and science.
