Course Summary
Our A-Level in Film Studies is designed to allow you to explore a wide range of films, genres and cultural perspectives, from the silent era to modern cinema.
Course Details
You will develop your understanding of textual analysis, covering a variety of forms, including documentaries and experimental works. By connecting theory and practice, you will also have the opportunity to create your own short film or screenplay.

The course is assessed by 2 exams in film history & critical approaches to film and is also assessed with coursework
Entry requirements
You will need:
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths and, for this specific subject;
A GCSE at grade 5 or above in a creative subject
- GCSE English language grade 5 or above
