Course Summary

Are you inquisitive and do you enjoy solving problems using mathematics? Then physics is a possibility for you.

Course Details

A-level Physics is a course that aims to explain why everything works; from a Ferris wheel at a fairground to the quantum theory surrounding the gold leaf electroscope.

The course comprises a series of modules that build upon work studied at GCSE. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of those topics and develop high-level problem-solving skills. There is a practical element of the course which requires the completion of 12 experiments that are recorded and analysed in a lab book. Complementary subjects include chemistry, biology and geography. Mathematics is strongly recommended.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

100% Exam plus a practical endorsement
