Course Summary

Are you interested in media production as a possible career? On our Level 2 Media course you will develop the skills needed to work within creative media industries, following professional practices at all times throughout your studies.

This course will allow you to develop your creativity and confidence with two key Adobe applications: Photoshop and Premiere for graphic design work and short video productions of their own.

While on the course, you will complete seven units covering:

Basic video and audio production training.

Digital photography, including using a photography studio.

Graphic design for a range of print products, including posters and covers.

Producing a two-minute video production with a title sequence.

Researching the BBC and one of their television programmes.

It is mainly a practical course, meaning you will learn about media concepts through producing media artefacts. There are nine sessions a week alongside an English or Maths GCSE retake course.

This course will give you a broad foundation to progress onto one of our Level 3 Media courses for a further two years, with Long Road Alumni going on to achieve careers in Film, Graphic Design and Photography after leaving Long Road.
