Course Summary

You will develop your technical, performance and choreographic skills, learn set repertoire, and appreciate existing professionals' work.

Course Details

With this course you will complete two internally marked units and two externally marked units. You will be required to join our extra-curricular activities and perform in our annual production of Ivolution.

There are four components to this course - year 12: developing skills and techniques for live performance (internal) and investigating practitioners' work (external); year 13 covers movement in performance (internal) and a group performance workshop (external).

Throughout the course you will have opportunities to work with visiting professional dancers and choreographers, helping you to develop your technical, performance and choreographic skills in relation to the units of study.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

60% Externally Assessed; 40% Internally Assessed

Entry requirements

Five 5's including English and 4+ in mathematics

BTEC level 2 dance qualification at level 2 pass or better, if studied. If not, experience in dance required
