General Entry Requirements

A Level Programme Entry Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 6 or above
  • Minimum of a 6 in English and Maths and Science if taking A level Sciences.

The opportunity to study four Advanced level subjects will be offered to some particularly well-qualified applicants, currently defined as students who have achieved at least an average grade 7 across their best seven GCSE subjects.

Vocational and Applied Diploma Entry Requirements

  • Merit at Level 2 in chosen area of study
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade 4 or above including at least a grade in English and Maths

You’ll explore key areas of English law including dispute resolution, criminal law, tort, and contract law. You’ll also learn how the legal system operates, how laws are made and interpreted, and how legal professionals apply the law to real situations. The course combines coursework and scenario-based assessment, helping you develop practical skills in research, evaluation, and legal communication.

You’ll get exposure to guest speakers (judges, solicitors, barristers), mock trials, visits to courts, and case studies drawn from current legal issues. Expect lively classroom discussion, research projects, and opportunities for independent learning.
