Course Summary

This T-level is a technical study programme aimed at preparing young people for work, higher level apprenticeships or higher education. An approved technical qualification which includes the opportunity to specialise in at least one occupational role. Substantial industry placement with an external employer and employability, enrichment and pastoral elements.

• Infection prevention and control in health specific settings

• Safeguarding

Topics covered (Occupational Specialism –Supporting the Adult Nursing Team):

• Assist the adult nursing team with clinical tasks

• Support individuals to meet activities of daily living.

• Assist with skin integrity assessments and with the care and treatment of skin conditions

Externally set: Core exams and Employer Set Project, & 315 work experience industry placement hours

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above including English language, Maths and Science.

Students who achieve this qualification could progress to the following - Ambulance support worker, Health care support worker or to a higher apprenticeship and higher education to study a health-related degree e.g. Nursing
