Course Summary
T Levels are new courses that follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A Levels. They have been co created by the industry that you want to be a part of, so you can gain the knowledge and skills you need to leap ahead of the crowd
The core element of a T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development will boost your knowledge in a range of topics such as programming and digital environments. You will also learn about the commercial side of digital sector, including legislation and regulatory requirements, business context and digital environments. As the digital industry is always evolving, you’ll dive into the world of digital technology, emerging issues and impact of digital, to understand how the industry will be shaped in the future.
You will then follow a specialism designed to support your interests, so you can get deeper into the chosen subject and build up the skills you need for your future job.
The specialist modules in Digital Production, Design and Development will then enable you to put everything you learn into practice, with a substantial industry placement of around 45 days.
This gives an amazing opportunity to work with an employer while you study and gain invaluable experience as well as key skills that employers are looking for.

We want you to achieve to the very best of your ability at CRC. To make this happen we offer both learning and personal support by specialist staff tailored to meet your specific needs.
All units are externally assessed predominantly in the form of coursework, short tests, assignments, etc.
Entry requirements
5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C) to include Maths, English, Science and 2 other subject.
In addition to the entry qualifications listed, the offer of a place on the course is subject to the outcomes of initial assessment, which will be taken at the College as part of the admissions process. Please note that entry criteria may vary quite significantly between courses at the same level. This is to take account of the specific skills needed for success on particular courses, the length of the course and the requirements for progression to the next level. Entry criteria are given as a guide, and the exact requirements in order to obtain a place on a particular course will be confirmed following attendance at a Welcome Event/Interview.
Your next steps...
Following a T Level, you could progress straight into a skilled occupation or continue your studies with a degree, progress sideways to a Level 3 Software Technician Apprenticeship or progress to higher level apprenticeships such as the Level 4 Software Developer, depending on your skills and experience.
Career options might include becoming a Software Development Technician, Junior Developer, and many other exciting opportunities.
