Course Summary

Archway is an Entry Level 3 pathway suitable for learners with moderate or specific leaning difficulties, who need time to develop their confidence, social skills and ability to study with greater independence. A mixture of business, employability, enterprise and life skills this course is an excellent starting point for learners who are joining from mainstream or special schools and have already gained Entry 2 qualifications.

This programme offers the chance to develop vocational interest through taster sessions that include, childcare, motor vehicle engineering, carpentry, film and media, art, music, football, photography and drama.

Entry requirements

Must be currently working at Entry level 2/3. In addition to the entry qualifications listed, the offer of a place on the course is subject to the outcomes of initial assessment, which will be taken at the College as part of the admissions process. Please note that entry criteria may vary quite significantly between courses at the same level. This is to take account of the specific skills needed for success on particular courses, the length of the course and the requirements for progression to the next level. Entry criteria are given as a guide, and the exact requirements in order to obtain a place on a particular course will be confirmed following attendance at a Welcome Event/Interview.

Your next steps...

Archway students will have the opportunity to undertake work experience within the college or with a carefully chosen employer.
