This apprenticeship develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours which are necessary to become a bricklayer. It has been developed by the leaders in the industry to meet the specific requirements of the industry and to enable individuals to Lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures
How will it be delivered?
Consists of 3 components:
Knowledge Test - Forty multiple-choice questions
Skills Test - 3 simulated practical tasks that will holistically assess the skills, knowledge and behaviours described in the Apprenticeship Standard.
Oral Questioning - approximately fifteen questions to confirm knowledge & behaviours which are part of the portfolio
4 GCSE at grade 3 (D) or above including maths and English. or a level 1/2 qualification in a relevant construction area
