How will it be delivered?
Students will follow a programme which combines class teaching with small group work, discussion, video material, IT and research projects. Students will complete three examinations over the duration of the course, each carrying a weight of 33% of their overall final result/grade.
- Paper 1: Education with Theory and Methods. This is a 2 hour written exam out of 80 marks.
- Paper 2: Topics in Sociology This is a 2 hour written exam out of 80 marks.
- Paper 3: Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods. This is a 2 hour written exam out of 80 marks.
Entry requirements
For the generic A-Level Programme you will need:
- GCSE grade 4 or above in English Language and Maths, plus at least 3 more GCSEs at grade 5 or above
For this specific A-Level you will need:
- GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths, Grade 5 or above in English Language and at least 3 others at grade 5 or above
