Overview
• Constructing block walling
• Constructing brick walling
• Preparing components and erecting cavity walling.
• Setting out for basic masonry structures
• Mixing construction materials
• Understanding construction related technical information and processes
Health and safety is of paramount importance in all areas of the construction industry, and this will be reinforced throughout the course. Vocational core skills of English and Maths will be embedded in the programme along with specialist delivery to enable learners to reach GCSE grade 4 or equivalent standards to meet industry requirements. In addition to the specialist skills described above, we will help you to develop a range of wider skills that will make you into a well-rounded professional who will be highly valued by employers and universities. During tutorials we will develop your Employability skills, Personal Learning, Social and Community skills, together with your Specialist skills and qualification will give you a distinct advantage when it is time for you to progress to employment or further and higher education.

How will it be delivered?
Your skills and knowledge will be continuously assessed throughout the course; additionally each unit will be assessed by end multiple choice examinations and practical tests.
Support will be provided through regular meetings with your course tutor.

• Further full time training onto the L2 Diploma in Bricklaying
