Our A-Level in Physics will help build on your previous science study, with problem solving, experimentation and interpreting data.
Your study will involve a combination of practical exercises and theory, and will be taught in a well-equipped laboratory by our industry-trained staff.
You will study:
- Charge and current
- Forces in action
- Waves and photos
- Medical imaging and electromagnetism
- Nuclear and particle physics
The course will be assessed by two 2.15 hours examinations, one 1.30 hour examination and a practical assessment varied with formal lessons and practical work supported by discussions, video, ICT and Physics workshops. Year 1 - Module 1: Development of Practical Skills in Physics - Module 2: Foundations of Physics - Module 3: Forces and Motion - Module 4: Electrons, Waves and Photons Year 2 - Module 5: Newtonian World and Astrophysics - Module 6: Particles and Medical Physics
You will need:
