Overview

This new Apprentice Standard is for people who work in kitchen environments, for example; schools, hospitals, the Armed Forces, care homes and high street casual dining or pub kitchens. It gives you the opportunity to develop standardised recipes and menus, produce food often in high volumes. You will apply highly methodical organisational skills, energy, accuracy, and attention to detail and are mindful of the importance of sustainability and protecting the environment.

Students are in College 1 day to evidence the 20% off job with evidenced employer training alongside.

How will it be delivered?

There are three end-point assessment methods for the Production Chef. The on-demand test and the observation must take place prior to the professional discussion

Entry requirements

Employed in relevant Job role Maths and English grade 3 or above or the equivalent. Successful interview at CRC

Your next steps...

Production Chef- Further learning progression onto Senior Production Chef/Commis Chef. Career as a Chef in a wide variety of Catering establishments
